3646 requests/sec

I had to do a little hello world benchmark on the performance of Boomla dynamically serving a simple hi response as plain text. I did that because a new feature forced me to improve the way data is passed across execution contexts and I was curious.

Needless to say I'm quite happy with the result, especially that the system is still not  optimized for that. There is still lots of room for improvement.

Test setup

  • 8 core AMD FX-8350, 8 threads

  • 200 concurrency

  • 10000 requests

  • tested on the same machine via Apache Bench

The test results seemed roughly stable across repetitive executions, I have shared the lowest number.

Tested code

The following script was executed in the sjs-4 engine:

response.attrStr('content-type', 'text/plain')
